The Conclusion of the Jubilee Year
of St. Philip Neri

Throughout this past year, the Oratorian community here in New Brunswick and around the world has been observing a Jubilee in honor of the 500th anniversary of the birth of our founder, St. Philip Neri. This observance officially comes to a close with the celebration of the Solemnity of St. Philip on Thursday, May 26, 2016.

Over the course of this past year, we have had a number of extraordinary opportunities to get to know St. Philip better and to experience the power of his intercession. Of particular note have been our visit with the Jubilee Relic of St. Philip at the beginning of Lent, and our observance of the Forty Hours Devotion that coincided with Divine Mercy Sunday and the Solemnity of the Annunciation. Uniting ourselves with St. Philip through the celebrations of this year, we have received countless blessings as he reflects the love of Christ for us.

Here in this space, we have explored the remarkable life of St. Philip, the history of Oratorian life and the characteristics that make it unique. We have also had the opportunity to get to know the most prominent Oratorian saints, blesseds, venerables, and servants of God. We hope you have enjoyed the articles, which are archived on our website at www.nboratory.org. If you have questions or would like to learn more about St. Philip and the Oratory, feel free to contact Fr. Jeff at jcalia@nboratory.org.
